Materials and sourcing

Creating Sustainably

While creating clothes, Oddthenticity takes advantage of the abundance of resources we already have. Our mission is to reuse and recycle the materials already used by others, instead of directly taking more from the earth. All fabrics used at Oddthenticity are time-consumingly sourced second-hand. Our upcycled fabrics are typically sourced from thrift stores, deadstock fabric, or generously gifted by other artists. All fabrics are cleaned and tested before being sold. Unfortunately, the reality of using thrifted, recycled material does mean the fabric content is unknown, and we are not able to provide that information for our clothing pieces. Unfortunately, at the time, this is the reality for our brand if we want to create clothes sustainably. We are always working on ourselves and trying to find new ways to grow and evolve. We hope that with growth in Oddthenticity, there will be a way for us to provide upcycled fabric while knowing the origins and specifics of the material in the future.
